Jonathan Wallwork
Captured by food preparation at an early age, he qualified as a chef and went on to work in some of the UK’s finest hotel kitchens before his love of larder preparation led him to train under the highly respected Q guild butcher Eric Walmsley. During his 7yrs working with Eric, he was also responsible for developing a range of ready made foods and bakery products, before aquiring the business when Eric retired in March 2000.
Eric remains a close friend and is still on hand with guidance and to watch with pride the investment and advances in Walmsleys over the last 9 years.
Paul Thompson
Manager of the shop for 8 years, he’s a fully trained butcher with a great talent for butchery and product innovation, he’s helped revolutionise our product range to suit the increasing needs of customers.
Jonathan & Paul are backed up by dedicated workforce of Margaret, June and Nigel who have also been with us over 6 years, with Sam, Daniel, Nick, Matt and Joseph completing Walmsleys team.
